    • Oh sure, because petitions ALWAYS work. Pfffft

        Loading editor
    • well aksys games saw it so it almost worked

    • I already payed for the us limited version so at this point I dont really mind the dub anymore.

Also I got used to the Japanese voices during CP.

I did sign the petition though some time ago, when it was first mentioned.

Sreiously, even Celica's and Tao's??? You're an admirable man, because i can't hear them without getting crazy, so, English forevah!!! (Well, not forevah because they scrapped it for CF). Though some English voices were bad too (like Nine's).

        Loading editor
    • I do like the english voices but the japanese is equally good in my opinion. I do agree about Taos voice too, her english voice is really good. Always has me cracking up on Teach Me, Miss Litchi lol

        Loading editor
    • I do want the English dub back but, they need to bring back Hazama/Terumi's original voice actor, Erik Davies. Same goes for Bang, needs original voice actor. Also they have to keep all the other voice actors and find good ones for the new characters.

        Loading editor
    • I think Doug Erholtz is a better English voice actor.

        Loading editor
    • In my opinion Erik Davies was better. Every time Hazama speaks with that voice it doesn't matter what he is saying it makes my super happy for some weird reason. Where as with Doug Erholtz its just kinda like "meh". Does anyone think they should have Bang's and Hazama/Terumi's original English voice actors back?

        Loading editor
    • Yes, indeed. But, do you think that ArcSys OR Aksys will bother to contact them again???

Hell, they didn't even cared about the Dub in CF. Not to be negative but... Let's face it:

The Dub will never come, Aksys already stated it in a tweet that clearly said that it was cut to short the gap between the JP and the NA release, and (with a petition with 5.2k signs (even though a petition never does a thing (and with an intention of the petition's creator to "boycott" the game))) they haven't said a word towards that situation (if they care of the shoutouts of the fans).

    • >Aksys already stated it in a tweet that clearly said that it was cut to short the gap between the JP and the NA release

And you know what? The Japanese version has English text in it. The game's files already had localized text. Then why did we have to wait a month?

        Loading editor
    • >The Japanese version has English text in it

      Wow, I didn't know that.

      >And you know what?

Regardless the gap, i don't know anything (maybe it's just a CS situation), but from the lack of dub I know 2 or 3 things.

      1. In an interview made by the WNF crew, Aksys said that they didn't have an explanation, because all of that was idea of ArcSys, also, they said that they were never notified by ArcSys to make a dub.

      2. Mori (as the creator) hasn't said a thing about the dub, he even said that CFEX won't exist (though i think it's a lie, just like CP DLC chars, or Celica not being able to fight), but he couldn't said a thing about it.

3.Patrick Seitz (Ragna's VA and ALSO director of the English language crew) wasn't even notified of the lack of Dub, neither him, nor any other voice actor, and that's very unprofessional in my opinion.

Aaand in fact he wasn't lying, because she's not fighting, it's Minerva doing the job.

        Loading editor
    • But that can be took as she never been seen as a playable character, but they updated Minerva's appearence and abilities to make Celica's playable debut, because in Vanilla CP's Story Mode, Minerva was just a color swap of Nirvana's sprite.

An edited color swap! She had eyes, plates on her cheeks, and no scar.

Yeah right, what a biiiiiiiiiig difference. Anyway, if you can collect more signs, please do it or email to ArcSys or Aksys, you have to let notice your voice. Remember that CF's localized text is worse than CP's one.

    • Kofash123 wrote: Anyway, if you can collect more signs

I will not do it, don't like the dub anyway. I'd make a petition to ask for a better localization, but it's not like ArcSys make that much money here, they don't care about non-Japanese players.

    • Кримера wrote: I will not do it, don't like the dub anyway.

But you can help to the people that likes the Dub to have it. One of the signs was made from a blind guy that wanted to know the end of the story, but he couldn't do it because of the lack of it.

    • If I'm not mistaken, all people who signed are boycotting the game to get their dub, while I want the game, and will buy its Steam port day one.

        Loading editor
    • Well, not me. :)

And I'm going to buy it online with all the DLC (Except Susano'o, because i will play the Story Mode), crossing fingers waiting for the "Jubei Patch" that will come with the Dub (hopefully).

I signed it, even though I knew not much would come from doing so but a chance is a chance. I did buy them game too, but the copy that was specifically shipped to GameStop near me I requested, sold that only copy lol and I was so angry. I waited so long for nothing, and it was the limited edition too. Don't know why they couldn't get regular copies as well in there on the release date. Slow pokes...

So now im buying it online.

    • Well I've signed the petition a long time ago but I don't have a PS4 yet but I plan on getting one next year along with the game (hopefully I'm able to get the limited edition of the game since that's something I'm not passing up on.) plus Chrono Phantasma Extend and Tales of Berseria as well but it'll be worth it once the time comes.

        Loading editor
    • I haven't signed because I expect that we are not going to get a dub. Anyway I got Centralfiction on Tuesday and its fine with just subtitles. Also it helps when fighting that I can understand a bit of Japanese.

        Loading editor
    • I didn't sign the petition, I bought the game, that's all, I don't care about the business stuff happening behind the curtains. This "boycotting BlazBlue" and whining everywhere "y no dub??? no dub no buy!!!" is basically stupid as Hell and gives us completely nothing. Do these people really play the game for the gameplay and the story, or just for the "glorious dub"? Sheesh.

That I agree with since I would get the game dubbed or not like in my case, I'm in it for the story and the gameplay as long as I'm able to understand what's going on and what to do next plus it helps when I'm trying to learn a few words in Japanese than the ones I already know.

        Loading editor
    • @Night: They're "whining" because the Dub was an in-game feature included since the very beginning. Also, it's comprehensible because there are some pre-fight dialogs between certain characters that are not subbed. Of course, when the people said "boycott the game to let our voices up" I thought that was stupid, because BlazBlue is an airdasher, and that means that it isn't a well known game. And with their "genious plan" and the people that would wait for the EXTEND version, the NA sales would be very low.

I will buy the game with all the DLC, except Susano'o (like I said earlier), to show to ArcSys, or Aksys, or both that I will trust on them, and perhaps, only perhaps... They make the "glorious" (though is above average) Dub.

As an Example: think of it about if it doesn't have voices at all, and only Japanese text. Also, take into consideration that not all the people prefer subs before dubs, and some people that play the game are not from North America, neither Europe, nor Japan.

Hell, even a guy from Central America got interest in the game, and was helped by the game itself in his English Classes.

        Loading editor
    • I'd have been slightly happier if the text had more of the localised original flavour rather than the more direct translations CF had. Just sounded weird having people like Terumi seem a lot more normal. He ain't normal.

They are not "whining", they are whining, acting like children who want to be taken seriously. I'm not saying it's fair they didn't dub the game, especially when even Calamity Trigger had the English dub, and it's not like the series was really famous back then.

      Kofash123 wrote:

And that's why we have "quotes" subpages and we will eventually get translations of this stuff one day~!

And I can say is that you will do the right thing, especially when Susano'o can be unlocked. I bought only Mai and Es, because I don't feel like spending right now my money on new color palettes or -- pointless, in my opinion -- system voices. Honestly, if they only did something to get our previous system voicing ladies, I'd buy it. Cecilia Famador was the best!

    • I signed it, but I doubt that the petition will change anything. I'm more worried about whether or not the game is going to get an Xbox release (I doubt it). There's no way I'm going out to buy a PS3 or PS4 when I blew most of my cash away for the Vita and I have no intention on buying a console just for one game.

I'm not sure if I believe it considering that it's April Fools Day today though it's tomorrow in other parts of the world.

    • Does look fishy, and I still cant see Linua being a fighter lol

Edit: also really Linua and not Jubei? what sense does that make?

        Loading editor
    • Um, @DNHero666. Did you tried comparing it with Continuum Shift Extend's one? They look very similar. It looks like the one who made the CFEX Logo just took the horns of the letters in CPEX Logo, an put the font like CSEX Logo. Also, the Extend part of the logo is more clear, because the Centralfiction part looks blurry from far distance.

      Blazblue Centralfiction Extend (Logo)
      BlazBlue Chronophantasma Extend (Logo)
      BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend (Logo)
Make your own conclusions, lads and ladesses.

Indeed since I never trust anything when it comes to April Fools Day especially on the internet.

    • It was an obvious April Fools joke. Seriously, did anyone believe it? If you still insist on saying it's all true and legit, and I, of course, don't know anything, then here you go.

Well I knew that it was a April Fools Joke because I never trust the Internet on April 1st.

    • I find these convos pretty hilarious. While I do agree then the fans deserve the option to choose whatever audio they want to play it. This is the first time I see people complaining about the lack of an English dub. Since it's mostly the other way around.

I'm just waiting for CF to come out on steam. I myself have never been a fan of eng voices in non English games. I heard Rachel's English voice once and I swear I wanted to rip off my ears. But that's just my opinion.

I doubt this petition will do much. There are thousand petitions out there and only 5% had the luck to reach their goal. (Maybe 5% is still too much but who cares.)

You can also tune off the voices if you don't like Japanese audio.
