Tenjō appears to be a wise young woman with long dark purple hair and wears it in a similar style to her ancestor, Mei Amanohokosaka. She wore a white mask with a red design symbol to conceal her face. She wears a Japanese red and white outfit reminiscent of empress with a purple cloak.
She was the former wielder of the Arch-Enemy, Phoenix Wing: Rettenjō, who passed it on to Bang before dying. In BlazBlue: Chronophantasma, Relius Clover revealed that Tenjō was also aware of the Rettenjō's true power as an Anti-Arch-Enemy weapon and could have used its true power to bring victory for Ikaruga over Controlling Organization. However, she also realized the greater calamity that would come if he used the Arch-Enemy, so she instead did not use it and passed it on to Bang, resulting in her death at the hands of Jin Kisaragi and the defeat of the Ikaruga Federation forces in the war.
Tenjō's soul is sealed inside the Phoenix Wing: Rettenjō; she sealed her soul inside of it before Jin killed her, so the latter only killed an empty shell. She did this to create an alternate method for activating Kushinada's Lynchpin.
