Monolith

Monoliths (モノリス, Monorisu), also known as Tablets (タブレット, Taburetto), are colossal pillars that function similar to Kilns.

In BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, Hazama and Relius Clover manipulated the World Void Information Controlling Organization's 13th Hierarchical City "Kagutsuchi"'s branch soldiers into arriving at the Monolith at the top of the branch; here, the Monolith absorbed the soul of every soldier, allowing it to be able to smelt Noel Vermillion once more so she could become the 'Kusanagi' - Mu-12. The Monolith appears again as a location in the Imagined Landscape created by Noel.

In BlazBlue: Chronophantasma, Hades: Izanami created a Jet Black Pillar (漆黒の柱, Shikkoku no Hashira), another Monolith, in the 5th Hierarchical City "Ibukido", this time, heralding the event of Day of Ruin to have souls around the world become absorbed into the Monolith itself. Eventually, Hakumen and Jin Kisaragi cut down the foundations of the Monolith as Bang Shishigami nailed Phoenix Wing: Rettenjō into Kushinada's Lynchpin and launched it at the Monolith, causing the overwhelmingly huge structure to sink into its foundations. Despite this, enough souls had been gathered for Hades: Izanami to begin creating the Embryo with the remains of Highlander: Takemikazuchi.
