The player can influence the story of XBlaze – Code: Embryo by reading certain TOi articles. After having seen one of the good endings, the player will be able to see who read the articles before reading them themself. It should be safe to read any articles that were not read by anyone.

The story of the game begins with the main route that branches into two routes, each of them branches into two good endings. The branching point for the two routes is Episode 6. For the Hinata/Es route, the player has to read all articles until Episode 6, while for the Kuon/Mei route, the player has to read only articles that were read by Kuon and Mei, including those that were also read by other people, as long as Kuon or Mei’s icon is there.
The player will get a bad ending by failing to meet the conditions necessary for one of the good endings. By not reading any articles from the beginning, or skipping a necessary article, the player will get Fade to Black; by not reading any articles from the branching point, or skipping a necessary article, the player will get The Black Beast; and by reading all articles, or just an unnecessary article, in Kuon/Mei route, the player will get Proof of Cowardice.
